Wedding 9.10.11

I am so blessed! I truly want to thank everyone for being part of this incredible journey of engagement & wedding planning. I am so thankful for the friends and family that helped with all the details in making our special day the Best day of our lives.

I have the most amazing parents who did more than I could ever ask for. I also have amazing In-laws who also did over and beyond.

Everyone says that your wedding goes by fast.. and yes it does.. however by the pictures, the video, and the memories that were made will always be there.

If you didn't make the wedding this will sum it up for you ;)

Why Hello Megan.. I thought I lost you...

You almost did lose me.

Between- work, family, late nights, stuffing envelopes, picking music, flowers, you name it Wedding Planning is a full-time job if you ask me!

Braeden and I have been so thankful for such an incredible friends & family.

We recently had a couples shower and played a very fun game! We each held a Barbi & Army man and faced back-to-back. My beautiful sister Marianne would ask us a question- for instance "Who plans on taking care of the bills? Whoever we thought between the two of us would raise either the Barbi or Army Man. It was a GREAT shower. We had a blast!

Who knows what the Question was... or what ill be doing! ;)

I love my family

The moments that change people's lives

I had the honor of helping throw a baby Shower for Cassie Benson. A Godly beautiful woman who has poured into the lives of College girls. Her and Brock just had there first little baby boy Kandler. Working in a Preschool Ministry I have met and seen so many new Moms. It's always a joy to share these special moments with them.

Boy, Oh Boy!

Your life will be filled with riotous joy;
You’re in for it now; boy, oh boy!
Your new and thrilling life begins,
Full of baby boy coos and mischievous grins.

He’ll use every trick and baby ploy
To get your attention...your baby boy.
Soon he’ll crawl, explore and run;
His boyish adventures will never be done.

So don’t waste time with your newest toy,
He’ll be grown in a moment, your cute baby boy.

::For the Teacher or Volunteer::

A Sweet Reminder <3

When you look out over a classroom full of squirming children do you ever hear yourself saying, “Tell me again why I am doing this?” Where you excited to volunteer for this ministry, or were you begged mercilessly until you agreed to take on a class- and now your stuck? There are many wonderful reasons to teach kids! Ask yourself, “Do I have a servant attitude?” Teaching is largely about serving. Kids require our time, attention, and patience, and are able to give little in return. If your stamina for serving is low, you will not likely fill it with a classroom of attention- seeking 2-year-olds. Without a servant's heart, the privilege of helping kids know God turns into a duty and teaching becomes a task.

In a perfect world, only gifted teachers who thrive on crayons and lesson plans and up in front of Sunday School class. In the real world, however, you may find yourself teaching because there’s a need and no one else to fill it. If that’s your story- bless you for your willingness to serve. Continue to pray for God to use you in the way he sees best and to give you a heart for teaching. Whether in teaching of help behind the scene, the opportunity to have a part in pointing children to God is a gift in itself. Use it to the best of your ability.

Be a Blessing to these kids. They need your love and support

a little behind... but never to late

Easter: A time to Celebrate what Christ has done for us on the Cross.

It's a time were we teach little children who Jesus is. I time we share the Gospel with friends and family. I time we recognize the important of this day. I time we celebrate with fun traditions.

Here is a small taste of how my family celebrates :)

25Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, 26and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?

::I love Spring::

SPRING~
Spring is such a beautiful season- It's a good season to do wedding planning, to get out and enjoy the Sunshine, and for Braeden to shoot many weddings. WE love it. It is a season that reminds me so much of all the intramural games we would play in College and all the Sonic drink runs we would take. Boy do I miss those days!

Who else Remembers "The Ball Team" :) good times- a little clip I found.

It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold:  when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.  ~Charles Dickens

::Long toe socks are what I need::

I recently took a trip to New Mexico with my fiance Braeden Rogers and his family. We throughly enjoyed the several feet of snow, the good cooking, and the time with family. Little did I know we would bring back all that snow to Texas....

Here are a few pictures from our trip.

"Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire:  it is the time for home."  -Edith Sitwell

"The birds are gone, The ground is white,
The winds are wild, They chill and bite;
The ground is thick with slush and sleet,
And I barely feel my feet." -Anonymous

"See the falling snowflakes
drifting by the pane,
Winging glasslike angels
falling just like rain.
The air is crisp and stirring,
the freshly fallen snow.
And the warmth I'm feeling inside,
sets my eyes aglow.
This winter's day has come before
and will come again.
It finds it's way to Earth
every now and then."
 -Linda A. Copp, A Winter's Day

My man Braeden Rogers also took a few pictures :)

::twitterpated::

"An enjoyable disorder characterized by feeling of excitement, anticipation, high hopes, recent memories of interludes, giddiness, and physical overstimulation which occur simultaneously when experiencing smitten! A new love. These feelings take over without warning and make it difficult to concentrate on anything but romance. They interfere with work and safe driving, but should be experiences at least once in every person's life."

Hello 2011

As the New Year arrives I start thinking of those New Year resolutions...

Here are my top Five:

(1) Continue to spend time daily with the Lord. This this the most important part of the day. When our hearts are right everything else will fall into place. I have learned quickly that YOU decide how you start your day. The days that I don't read, worship, and spend time with our heavenly father are very long days!

(2) Plan the Wedding! I am the most blessed little lady. I get to marry my best friend on 9.10.2011 We are enjoying every part of this process together. He makes me laugh and smile everyday and truly shows me how to enjoy life. He is such a talented photographer www.ambient11.com   and loves his job! I love you Braeden Rogers!

(3) Spending time with my best friends. I have learned quickly that since the college days are over it is up to you to make the time to get together. I have the most incredible group of friends... all you girls out there in Arkansas... you know you want to move to Texas :)

(4) Spend time with the family. My gorgeous sister and her husband live down the road and so does My goofy brother and his beautiful wife. Who knows where everyone could end up in a few years... therefore I am going to spend as much time with them as possible! As well as my parents who have done so much for me and my future in laws (I couldn't ask for anyone better!)

Picture taken by: my Fiance Braeden Rogers :)

(5) Last but not least.... hitting the Gym! Wish me luck as I LOVE Starbucks, and Vanilla Dr Pepper.....

There you go... Enjoy the beginning of 2011

Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;

   for his steadfast love endures forever!
